I help companies preparing to sell or ship food or dietary supplement products into the United States understand FDA requirements before problems occur. I spent over a decade with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reviewing food and dietary supplement products offered for import into the United States. My work involved evaluating Prior Notice submissions, import documentation, labeling, and ingredient information to determine whether shipments were admitted, examined, or refused entry. I also reviewed higher-risk cases and provided oversight of import review activities.

I now advise manufacturers, exporters, customs brokers, and startup supplement brands on FDA requirements, label compliance, and how to prepare products for the U.S. market. I frequently help clients understand what to do after an FDA detention or refusal and how to prevent the issue before shipment.

I hold a JD focused on pharmaceutical regulation and bioethics and a Master’s degree in Food and Nutritional Science.
